Last weekend we celebrated my birthday by heading to the mountains for a hike in Banff National Park! It was our first time seeing the Rockies, and these mountains are enormous - the feeling of being among them is something the pictures can't capture. A bald eagle flew by us at eye level when we were standing at the summit of Tunnel Mountain (one of the "small" peaks).
